The Isle of Man may only be 11-14 miles wide at its widest point (few sources seem to agree an exact width…), but it’s fair to say that the “road racing capital of the world” is geared up for visitors. Its population of around 80,000 welcomes an additional 40,000 tourists during the annual TT motorcycle race week alone!
There’s a load of great info about Where To Stay on the Isle of Man Official Visitor Website.
The nearest towns to our *NEW* venues on the south of the island are Port Erin, Port St Mary, Ballabeg and Castletown, with Ballasalla (where the airport is) not far either. Hotels in this area include The Falcon’s Nest, The Shore Hotel, The George Hotel and The Sefton Express (the airport hotel). Douglas, where some people (including us) will be travelling from on the day is half an hour away.
There are plenty of B&Bs about the place and Airbnb also has lots of different choices, from houses to rooms.
There should be plenty out there for various budgets and lengths of stay (obviously the earlier you book the easier it will be!): holiday lets, hostels, yurts, apartments, chalets, domes, pubs and inns, glamping wigwams, farm cottages… Any problems, just holla!
